Reno Personal Trainer

Is Reno personal training right for you?

I've been training private clients here in Reno since 1992. I don't train the way of the "'80's" bodybuilder, on machines with isolation. I train the body the way it's supposed to move and function.
  Stronger, leaner, harder and pain-free.

Investing in personal training could be the best investment you'll ever make. I guess it depends on the value you put on your own health. As any business person knows, adding professional guidance to your desire can mean the difference between success and failure. Health or injury.

It's like a baseball changing direction when it hits the bat. It's so simple, and yet so powerful. For many of the success stories out there, personal training is that difference. As a client, you'll have access to the most effective information, only the best, only what works.  My name is Tom Storms, I'm a nationally certified personal trainer seeing private clients of all shapes and sizes full time for the last 13 years.

-I have had the pleasure of working with Tom Storms for the past two years.

Tom is not the first personal trainer that I have worked with. In fact, he is the fourth. But he is, without a doubt, the best. Tom's evaluation of my physical status and work-out goals was, easily, the most thorough of any previous trainer. This has proven to be more important than I originally thought.

By being able to better match my exercise requirements with realistic expectations my compliance and motivation were greatly improved.

Throughout, Tom has continued to evaluate progress and adjust goals as mutually agreed. This has allowed me to advance in a stepwise fashion by reaching one attainable goal after another. My attitude has remained good throughout these two years. Unlike any of my previous trainers, Tom's attention to the details of any particular movement can only be described as thoroughly professional.

With the other guys all I did was push the weight. Occasionally they might change my position or give me a little lecture. Most of the time I just pushed weight and the trainer talked about their personal life. Tom has proven to me that doing a movement the correct way is the most important factor. I have seen positive changes in my posture, gait, and ability to effectively carry out everyday physical tasks.

With time, the amount of weight I'm able to move has increased. But I'm not hung-up on how much. Macho now means being in the correct anatomical position throughout any movement. What a difference! Also of great importance is the fact that Tom is the most reliable and responsible trainer I have ever worked with. You know, no matter how good someone is at what they do, if they don't show up, it's meaningless. Tom is always there and always on time. I simply have learned to respect Tom and enjoy my time in the gym. Quite a feat for an old fat guy.

Keep This In Mind… This is it- this is your life,

It's not a dress rehearsal. If you don't like some aspect of the way it's going, you have to make a change. Please don't continue to do exactly the same things you did last year and expect a different result this year.

Your success means creating a system that is specific to you as an individual. When your program is designed for your current level of fitness, and is oriented toward short and long term goals that are well thought out, there can be no stopping your results.

So you ask, "Why a personal trainer?" Because my training program gives you the tools to reclaim your body, get your life back, or make your life better. Feel free to contact me any time via my contact form:

"The secret to success is action, not attitude.
It doesn't matter what your attitude is.
What matters is what you do with your time.
If you do the right things…
you will be successful regardless
of your emotional condition or mental attitude.
If you do the wrong things…
no amount of positive thinking will save you.”
